I’m still waiting for my stencil to come in…
But, I did find this wallpaper I like when I went shopping this weekend. I thought maybe I could use this under the picture rail instead of the stencil then change the paint color to one of the greiges on the side.
I’m still on the fence.

I like that wallpaper. Big decision. The stencil would be cheaper, but might be a bigger PITA than hanging wallpaper….maybe. Which would you rather do, stenciling or papering?
Wallpapering… I think. I’ve never done it before though.
My opinion is you should try both just for the experience. Personally, I love wallpapering. My grandafther taught me to wallpaper so it’s partially nostalgia but it’s also kind of like wrapping the inside of the present. I’ve never tried stenciling but I know someone that bought one of those stencils on etsy, used it for the small wall at the end of their hallway and they said it was brutal. Took all day and the edge were a little “blurry.” Comparing both would make a great post.
I think you’re right.. I will try both and see what happens. I’m also looking forward (sorta) to learning how to wallpaper I hoping Youtube will help me out!
